PRIVACY & DATA

Privacy notice

This notice explains the types of information used by Certprogress and the choices available to learners. The platform operator should review this notice against the business’s legal obligations before launch.

Information you provide

When you create or manage an account, the platform may store your name, email address, password hash, country or region, certification interests, target exam date, experience level, discovery source and marketing preference. Optional profile fields can be left blank.

Study, request and purchase activity

The platform records activity needed to provide the service, such as practice sessions and results, bookmarks, exam requests, orders, access entitlements and downloads. Administrators use this information to operate the catalogue, resolve account or purchase issues, understand demand for certifications and improve the learning experience.

Live chat and support conversations

If you contact Certprogress through the website’s live chat, we store the messages you send, your name and email address, timestamps and conversation status so support can respond in real time and continue the conversation if you return. Guest chat uses an essential, HttpOnly browser cookie to reconnect you to your conversation. Do not send passwords, one-time codes or payment-card details in chat. Authorised administrators can access conversations to provide support. The operator should define and apply an appropriate retention period before public launch.

Email verification and account security

Email addresses are used for account verification, password recovery and essential account messages. Verification and reset links are time-limited and single-use. Passwords are stored as password hashes rather than readable passwords. Password recovery invalidates existing sessions so you must sign in again.

Marketing preferences

Promotional messages are separate from essential account emails. Marketing consent is optional and is not required to register or use an account. You can review or withdraw your preference in Account settings. The platform records the consent state and relevant timestamps so administrators can respect that choice.

Analytics and cookies

The analytics preference banner lets you accept analytics storage or decline it and continue with privacy-friendly session-only analytics. You can reopen your choice using “Analytics preferences” in the site footer. Essential session cookies are used to keep signed-in accounts working.

Access, correction and deletion requests

You can update your display name and optional learner profile information in Account settings. For requests that cannot be completed there, contact the platform operator using the support details provided by the operator. The operator should establish and publish a clear retention and account-deletion process before launching publicly.

Security and access

Account and customer information is available to authorised administrators for legitimate platform operations. The platform uses server-side access checks for protected areas; do not share your password or one-time verification links.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated as features and legal requirements change. The platform operator is responsible for keeping it accurate, publishing an effective contact method and setting retention practices appropriate to the business and the regions it serves.

Privacy notice for Certprogress. The operator should complete a jurisdiction-specific legal review and publish a support contact before public launch.
